Torque Drift: Become a DRIFTING! is the first drift game I bought (not sure why). For those of you who don’t know, drift games are very similar to auto-crossing, in that you drive your car off the track and over jumps, kerbs, or bumps to accumulate points. You then compete with your friends for the most points. The concept was popularized by the Gran Turismo series, but this version takes it a step further. I’ll let you discover the hidden facts behind this addictive game!
Torque Drift: Become a DRIFTING! is a time management game, where you guide your drifting vehicle through tracks whilst avoiding pitfalls and traffic. It’s more than just a time-pass game, though, as it pits your drifting skill against the clock, and the level of difficulty increases as you get more into the groove of the game.

Arcade style game with various tracks
Drifting is a popular motorsport around the globe, but have you ever considered that there could be a way to actually drift your car? The answer is yes! In this game, you can use drifts to your advantage to gain an upper hand on the competition. There are many types of drifts available, and each one suits different driving styles:
Corner drifts: These are very powerful drifts that allow you to corner well and gain a lot of time on your track. To use these drifts, start the game in mid-track, then accelerate into the corner a bit early. You should be able to corner for at least a third of the time that you’ve taken to enter the turn, but you will need to watch out for any other players on your track.
Try different modification on your car
Slide drifts: This is a pretty straightforward maneuver. All you need to do is move into a corner while sliding forward, then back out while sliding forward some more. Try to keep everything going as smoothly as possible, and you should be able to slide for the whole length of the turn without slipping or losing control of the car. Try to hold back when entering a turn, and don’t slam on the brakes. Keep your speed low, and you should be able to do this for at least a third of the time that you take to enter a turn. These drifts will hold on to your tailpipe long enough to give you a good lead.
Drift jumps: You might be familiar with these, but just in case: these are the exact same thing as corner drifts except that you do them while drifting backwards instead of forward. They are generally used to gain a competitive advantage on shorter courses, but there is no limit to how much you can do with them. Try grinding out the entire course as fast as you can before switching to a straightaway. Then, reverse the car and drift into a back corner for some fast downhill. Use the turns to gain some speed, and you should be able to pull out of all of these drifts with relative ease.
Level up your skills and earn money
Drift pads: If you want to make your drifting skills really efficient, it pays to know how to use the various drifts – and the best way to do that is to use them correctly the first time. Some of the techniques involved in drifts – particularly jump drifts and down hill drifts – take some practice to master, and your car might break down during the process. The pads, which are used in many of these maneuvers, help prevent your car from suffering. The problem is that your vehicle’s suspension may not handle the shock well and can even break as a result. Use the pads to minimize the frequency with which you have to repair your car.
